What does the programme entail?
The B(SportSci) degree is presented as a full-time intramural package. What can I do with this qualification?
This qualification equips you for entering the professional sport industry and/or exercise industry. It affords you theoretical knowledge and practical preparation and development for the specific demands of a professional career as a player, coach or administrator. In addition to the theoretical knowledge, it also includes practical preparation and development for the specific demands of a professional career as a player, coach or sport administrator. Other career opportunities include fitness instructor with a sports team, operator in sport tourism, team manager or agent for athletes, technical advisor, gymnasium manager, sport journalist, and rugby and sport organiser at a school. The BSportSci degree may be completed within three years, the Diploma (SportSci) within two years and the Certificate (SportSci) within one year. For the professional sportsman or sportswoman it is also possible to spread the degree over a longer period (maximum 5 years) through the selection of only certain modules.
