BACHELOR OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION(BBA)
The degree is offered at the Pietermaritzburg and Westville campuses. It is a three to four year qualification offered through evening classes. The BBA is accepted by all the major industries and public utilities in KwaZulu-Natal, and has gained recognition throughout southern Africa and the United Kingdom. Career areas include specialisation in General Management, Economics, Financial Management, Information Systems, Marketing Management, Media, Human Resources Management, Public Relations and Training.
B Business Administration
ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS National Senior Certificate (NSC) Degree with English and Life Orientation level 4 and Maths level 3 or Matric Exemption with Maths āEā HG/āDā SG. Minimum 28 NSC/30 Matric Exemption points.
The College of Law and Management Studies is one of the four Colleges that form the University of KwaZulu-Natal. In turn,
it consists of four Schools:
- The Graduate School of Business and Leadership
- The School of Accounting, Economics & Finance
- The School of Law
- The School of Management, Information Technology & Governance
The College consists of about 311 dedicated academic and supportive administrative staff and approximately 10750 committed students.
Due to the nature of its programmes and disciplines the College produces students who join highly specialized professions such as legal practice, accountancy, marketing, financial management, human resources and public administration. As a result, the College has influential alumni and strong professional links. Consequently, our students are highly marketable and widely sought after.
Our College fosters a supportive learning environment for our students at three of the five campuses of the University (Westville, Howard College and Pietermaritzburg). We are always striving to provide new facilities and to improve the existing ones.
Our commitment to transformation continues, hence it is our aim to continue to attract students from different cultures and diverse backgrounds. It is also our aim to provide appropriate and relevant programmes that will enable our students to grow intellectually during their stay at this University. We shall also endeavour to continue to attract academics of a high standard to add to the existing group, many of whom are eminent and respected scholars in their fields of specialization.
