School of Biokinetics, Recreation and Sport Sciences
- The vision of the School of Biokinetics, Recreation and Sport Sciences is to be a school of excellence in the development and training of students in the areas of Human Movement Science, Biokinetics, Recreation, Sport Science and Coaching Science, enabling them to be practitioners, leaders and innovators in these applied fields for the people of South Africa and Africa.
- Driven by our pursuit of knowledge and innovation, our vision at the School of Pharmacy is to maintain our leadership role in South Africa and to be internationally pre-eminent in pharmaceutical education, -research, -contact services and in community engagement.
Training and research in Physiology, Occupational Hygiene (postgraduate), Dietetics and Nutrition (both professional programmes), Nutrition as general course, as well as in Consumer Sciences are presented by the School of Physiology, Nutrition and Consumer Sciences. The school is actively involved in research with the Centre of Excellence for Nutrition, the Hypertension in Africa Research Team (HART) and the Africa Unit for Transdisciplinary Health Research (AUTHeR).
