School of Physiology, Nutrition and Consumer Sciences

 Training and research in Physiology, Occupational Hygiene (postgraduate), Dietetics and Nutrition (both professional programmes), Nutrition as general course, as well as in Consumer Sciences are presented by the School of Physiology, Nutrition and Consumer Sciences. The school is actively involved in research with the Centre of Excellence for Nutrition, the Hypertension in Africa Research Team (HART) and the Africa Unit for Transdisciplinary Health Research (AUTHeR).

  • The School of Psychosocial Behavioural Sciences comprises three units: The subject group of Psychology, the subject group of Social Work and the Institute of Psychology and Wellbeing.
